Thank you for this work, it is a very useful synthesis of the current landscape. I was particularly struck by the issue of the lack of consensus and shared metrics. I hope alignment can progressively mature as a discipline, making not only areas of agreement but also areas of disagreement increasingly explicit: it is precisely in the latter that our underlying assumptions become visible, and with them, the specific human judgment that alignment work still depends on.
