Raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, I have been passionate about climate and nature from a young age. I studied nuclear engineering in college and was a submarine officer in the Navy for 5 years before starting my career in clean energy R&D.

As a Christian, I applaud the EA movement for carrying out Jesus' teaching to love our neighbors, bringing much-needed discipline and innovation to philanthropy.

I am always open to better ways to be protecting nature and curbing climate change with my career.

I am knowledgeable in nuclear fusion and fission technologies, naval submarines, and American Christian culture.
